Dallas Art Association has purchased
for the permanent collection of Dallas Museum of Fine Arts one
of the Hans Vincenz
gouaches from the recent one man show of the contemporary German
painter‘s work. The painting selected for acquisition, —
numbered 4 in the series of 37 untitled works shown here — is
considered a prime example of Vincenz technical skill and abstract
expressionism.
The Vincenz exhibit, which closed earlier this week, will travel
to other museums and university galleries in the Southwest this
fall under DMFA auspices. In the early winter it will be shown
in New York at Goethe-Institute as the first one-man exhibit of
Vincenz‘s work to be seen in New York.
More of Vincenz‘s work, including paintings in several media
is currently being shown in Dortmund, Germany and later will be
shown in Essen.
